Installing 11.7 on windows vista

Trying to get Flash Player 11.7 to install on my computer. Computer has windows vista business and have made multiple attempts at installing this updated flash player with no success. I have un-installed the previous versions and tried to install 11.7 and have not been able to complete the update. Will get to about 50% and then will tell me that I do not have permissions, Have checked and I have admin permissions on the computer. Any help would be appricated.

Just tried the offline installer, and this was not successful either. it says that it cannot write a file

Can you post the contents of the FlashInstall.log file in C:\Windows\system32\Macromed\Flash ?
