    Massive Confusion

    oldbalddude Community Member

Didn't want to, but I signed up for the single app (Photoshop) version of the creative clod this morning. Took over two hours because the website kept saying the payment mechanism wasn't working. The suggestions from online chat didn't help. 3 browsers, 2 computers and cookie deletions didn't help. Called on the phone and set up a call back. The first 3 times they called back, they hung up on me as soon as I answered. So, I ain't happy, but on the 4th call I managed to actually get the order placed. Got the e-mail, logged in and downloaded the Application Manager. I know there are already CC only features added to Photoshop CS6. I already own the permanent license version. Applications Manager says my CS6 is up to date, but I don't have the CC only features. I know the big update is due soon, but if I'm paying for the CC only features, I damn sure want them now. Adobe isn't exactly helpful. Near as I can tell they don't approve of people with the single app type membership. Sure got a hard sell to go for the full deal. So, how do I get the additional features. It is my understanding that I can keep my permanent licensed version installed while running the CC version, but it appears that I can't. A member for under two hours and already I hate this mess more than I thought I would, and I thought I would hate it plenty.

CC apps are not yet launched, they will be available later this month.

Currently as part of Creative Cloud we have CS6 applications (no CC features)

Once CC apps are available, you need to download and install them.

You are supposed to be able to run both without conflict. ( CC and perpetual versions )

Here is a recent discussion on that topic:

June 17 is the expected date they will be available.
