joe bloe premiere Jun 4, 2013 2:03 PM (in response to cocoricox)If you are asking whether this is something you
need to do before installing CS6, the answer is no.
CS5. CS5.5 and CS6 can all be installed
on the same system without conflict.
I can not speak to the compatibility of the CC7, June 17 release.

cocoricox Jun 5, 2013 12:21 PM (in response to joe bloe premiere)Thanks a lot for your answer. In fact, after installing CS6 I wondered if it would not be better to get rid of the previous versions. Now I feel at ease.

John T Smith Jun 5, 2013 1:09 PM (in response to cocoricox)If you use long format (spanned) AVCHD video, you might want to keep CS5 or CS5.5 until Adobe fixes the bug

rmartin215 Jun 5, 2013 2:49 PM (in response to John T Smith)I go back and forth between cs5 and 6 bec of the bug. They seem to use different file names for the cfa files -- cs 6 adds a digit at the end?--, so each one has to conform the same files separately. Is there any way of avoiding this -- i.e., once either 5 or 6 has conformed, the one file is good for both?
