gpaaib5 Jun 4, 2013 9:01 AM (in response to antoniahordern)I would like to know this as well, but I actually have three systems. A laptop for shooting images tethered to Lightroom. One system for graphics (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc). And a system for video, audio work.

Kartikay_Sharma Jun 4, 2013 9:28 AM (in response to antoniahordern)HI antoniahordern & Re: Creative Cloud on 2 personal computers gpaai,
A single Creative Cloud membership can only be installed on to two machines only and you are also able to use both of them at the same time . Thats a special exception that we have provided to our Creative Cloud customers.
I hope this should help .

David__B Jun 4, 2013 9:38 AM (in response to antoniahordern)Hi Antonia and Gpaai,
When you join Creative Cloud the licensing allows you to use it on two different computers, typically a home and a work computer.

mgdarland01 Jun 4, 2013 11:36 AM (in response to David__B)As an educator, I have access to more than 2 computers. It seems to me that the whole idea behind cloud is to access your stuff from any location. It also seems to me that this is a limitation in your cloud philosophy. I have one version on a Mac and another on a PC. I also have 2 Macs at work. I work at both locations. The 2 license scenario needs to be strongly reviewed if cloud is your answer for the future. I work with new technologies for higher education and I have always been a huge Adobe supporter. However, this puts strong limitations on my workflow.
Thanks,
Monte Darland,
Instructional Technologist and Instructor

Ken G. Rice Jun 4, 2013 11:41 AM (in response to mgdarland01)@mgdarland01 - The perpetual license (serial number) only allows you to activate two machines too. So the number of activations allowed for a single license / subscription has not changed.

Jeremy bowmangraphics Jun 9, 2013 11:03 AM (in response to David__B)Sorry to belabor the issue, but I just want to be absolutely clear before I join: Can one of the computers be a Mac with OS X, and the other be a PC with Windows 8?

Ken G. Rice Jun 9, 2013 11:27 AM (in response to Jeremy bowmangraphics)@Jeremy bowmangraphics - Yes.
From the Creative Cloud FAQ at http://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html under the Getting started section:
Can I use the software I download from Creative Cloud on multiple computers?
Yes, you can use Creative Cloud desktop applications on two computers at once, regardless of operating system, for the individual associated with the Creative Cloud membership. See the product license agreements page for more information.

I also have access to more than 2 computers. I rarely use more than one at a time, though.
You may install & activate Cloud software on 2 machines at a time. If you install software on a 3rd machine, your other 2 machines will be deactivated.
You can then install the software on a 4th machine. When you're ready to use the previous 2 machines again, deactivate the software from machines 3 & 4. See how that works?

If you need activated software on multiple machines at the same time, you must purchase additional subscriptions / licenses. This is nothing new, BTW.

13. Re: Creative Cloud on 2 personal computers
ecr1inf Jul 8, 2013 9:28 PM (in response to Kartikay_Sharma)This is extremely misleading. According to the CC software licence (which may or may not be the text Adobe intended to publish), you can install on two computers, and activate on two computers, but you may not use both installations at the same time. It's high time that Adobe cleared up this excursion into cloud-cuckoo land.

gpaaib5 Jul 9, 2013 7:16 AM (in response to ecr1inf)@ ecr1inf...
Your comment is rather interesting since there may be times I need a program such as Lightroom open on two systems at the same time. EX: I have my laptop running with my camera tethered to it, then I take a shot from the laptop to my desktop to see if a certain editing will work. I certainly don't want to shut down and boot up both systems back and forth, But then again, how would Adobe know if I had Lightroom running offline on my laptop?

ecr1inf Jul 9, 2013 7:30 AM (in response to gpaaib5)I dont' know how Adobe would know... and I don't know if they would care much if they did know, this sort of usage does not seem to menace their existence. But companies employ lawyers, and one in a while they like to get busy.

part803208 Aug 27, 2013 8:28 AM (in response to Kartikay_Sharma)A followup question: is the two-computer limit applied to the Creative Cloud installation, or to the specific app? I have three computers: a desktop, a large laptop, and a small laptop. I would only use the desktop and the large laptop for programs like Photoshop and Dreamweaver, but would never use the desktop for Acrobat while I'd use Acroboat on both laptops.

Steve House Aug 27, 2013 10:43 AM (in response to part803208)It's my understanding that such "un-bundling" is not allowed. You don't have to install all the apps, of course, but you can install apps from your subscription on a maximum of two computers at once. You could have your Photoshop and Acrobat on one computer, Premiere Pro and Acrobat on a second. But Photoshop on one, Premiere on a second, and Acrobat on a third would be a no-no on one subscription.

Robert Rigel Oct 10, 2014 9:35 AM (in response to Kartikay_Sharma)Sharma,
I am using OS 10.9.5 and can NOT install either the CC App manager or any of my apps on my second computer. When I click on the CC Icon in my menu bar, there is only a spinning clock THAT NEVER STOPS making downloading or even quitting the app impossible. I have spent many hours trying to solve this problem. Is there anyone or any place at Adobe I can find a solution to my problem?
If it is solved, can you run the same app on two machines at the same time or not? Adobe has two answers to this question: no on the web site and yes in this forum.
I've already paid, now I would like my apps.
Thanks for your reply,
Bob

hthrlynn Oct 19, 2014 5:40 PM (in response to Robert Rigel)I pay the monthly for just Photoshop and I cannot do any work from home. I use my work pc for most all of my projects for school. So I figured a subscription to just what I needed would be on more than one computer. Well no it isn't. Am I doing something wrong?

VirtusApp Nov 2, 2014 1:55 PM (in response to David__B)Hi, this is a related question to the thread. I am already a Creative Cloud costumer and I am trying to install it in the second computer. When I log in with username and password in the second computer, I get the unpleasant {"error:"bad request"} message. Anything I could be doing wrong? Any suggestions?
