Baljeet S. Juneja Jun 10, 2013 1:01 PM (in response to Dakota Wind)CC apps are not yet launched. The will be out later this month.
Once they are launched, you need to download and install them.

Dakota Wind Jun 10, 2013 1:13 PM (in response to Baljeet S. Juneja)Thanks. That was what I was thinking. When the updates do come out on the 17th, will I get a notice and link for updating? If not, where do I look to do the updates when they come out. Thanks for the quick reply.

Baljeet S. Juneja Jun 10, 2013 2:11 PM (in response to Dakota Wind)Hi Sue, CC apps are not updates. These will standalone programs/applications, just like CS 5 or CS 6
You need to download them and install them like any other Adobe application.

Dakota Wind Jun 10, 2013 2:43 PM (in response to Baljeet S. Juneja)Now I'm confused. On the 17th, what do I download? Since I already have CS6 what will the new app be called? I only subscribed to Photoshop, don't need the other apps.

rjmas Jun 10, 2013 2:55 PM (in response to Dakota Wind)Dakota, sounds like we will have to uninstall PSCS6 and install PSCC. I am in the same boat.

6. Re: Update Failed U44M1216
Dakota Wind Jun 10, 2013 3:04 PM (in response to rjmas)Guess I'm confused because somehow I got the idea the new apps would attach to CS6. But...sounds like it is a whole new app (like going from CS5 to CS6). So I guess new app will have a different name and will download as a new program. I assume we go to the Application Manager and download the app we want.
In thinking how I got confused was I read posts that said the new features were grayed out when they downloaded CS6. So if it is a new app, how come some have grayed out features in CS6?

Baljeet S. Juneja Jun 10, 2013 3:30 PM (in response to Dakota Wind)Sue, you are absolutely correct. Its a whole new app and will be called as CC, example Photoshop CC.
Like we had CS 5 , CS 6 similarly we will have CC.
Once they are available you need to download them and install them.
You need not to uninstall CS 6, you can have CS 6 and CC on the same machine.

Ken G. Rice Jun 10, 2013 3:31 PM (in response to Dakota Wind)Yes CC will be a new major version like CS6. You can keep both CS6 and CC on your machine, or install the CC version and uninstall the CS6 version. Your choice.

Dakota Wind Jun 10, 2013 3:46 PM (in response to Baljeet S. Juneja)Ok, thanks for setting grandma straight....LOL I think I'll keep CS6 in case for some reason I have to cancel the subscription but I'm hoping I don't. I know there are other processing programs out there, but I do a lot of old photo restorations and haven't found anything that comes close to PS at this time. And I've spent 12 years learning and working with PS and collecting plug ins so don't really want to start over with something else.

rjmas Jun 10, 2013 7:05 PM (in response to Baljeet S. Juneja)If we are subscribing to a single app only, then we will have to uninstall CS6 and install CC, correct?
