Mac 10.5.8 adobe flash player

When I am shopping online and zoom in to see the item or when playing some games, a little message from adobe comes up in the middle of the screen saying they are asking permission to put information on my computer.  It will not let me "allow" it or "deny" it and I can't remove it.  There must be some setting somewhere that will remove it.  Any ideas?
