FYI, you should not need to render clips just to play them, unless system is very old/slow and/or adding complex effects that just won't play back without a render. Maybe you are coming from FCP where it was the norm to render?

Well, thank you Jeff for the information - I come from Sony Vegas, where it was not needed to render for review. The problem is - my PC is probably just to slow to preview without rendering in advance, because when the red line appears, the preview is very slow and shocky or how to say it (sorry, not to good in english) :-) Playback resolution is at 1/2, video is shot in AVCHD 1080p, 25FPS.
PC is i5 2500K, 8GB RAM, 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD 7200 + 1,5TB HDD 5400 (that one I'd like to change for a quicker one), Nvidia GTX295. Would you see my PC to slow for preview without rendering, or do I do something else wrong? Thanks!
