1. Re: Contract selection
Noel Carboni Jun 12, 2013 8:56 AM (in response to Khechog)My understanding is that it's ALWAYS been "wrong" (I agree with you), and Chris Cox of Adobe fixed it in Photoshop CS3. That would have been the end of it, but apparently his having done so broke something else (maybe pre-recorded actions or something?) and they forced him to revert the behavior back to the "wrong" way.

Khechog Jun 12, 2013 8:59 AM (in response to Khechog)Thanks Noel, seems we can send a man to the moon but not make this work... Maybe with enough voices they'll find a way? I can wish...

"We" can't send a man to the moon. Our parents and grandparents could.
Clearly Chris should have put back the functionality and added an option to have it work either way.

PECourtejoie Jun 13, 2013 12:04 AM (in response to Khechog)Khechog, tell me what discussion you need to contribute to, so that I can move it here.
Trevor Morris has a script for that issue: http://www.adobe.com/cfusion/exchange/index.cfm?event=extensionDetail&extid=1037292

Khechog Jun 13, 2013 12:41 AM (in response to PECourtejoie)Well really I was hoping to start a fresh discussion, so what I see as an important omission doesn't get burried. If there's no taste for it it'll just fade away.
Cheers.

Does the script fit your needs?

Khechog Jun 13, 2013 4:59 AM (in response to Khechog)It isn't working for me, it gets to the 'move' command and says that it 'is not currently available'.

R_Kelly Jun 13, 2013 7:28 AM (in response to Khechog)If that action doesn't work, you might try this script:

11. Re: Contract selection
Khechog Jun 15, 2013 3:56 AM (in response to R_Kelly)Hi, thank you for posting the link. I saved it according to the instructions but find it's not showing in PS and when I 'browse' to find it the file is greyed out as it's a .txt file where as all the other script files are .jsx files. Is there something I can do to change the file type?
Many thanks.

12. Re: Contract selection
R_Kelly Jun 15, 2013 4:21 AM (in response to Khechog)It should be a .jsx file.
What operating system are you using?
It also might work if you change the .txt extension to .jsx
(rename the file, except just change the .txt to .jsx)

Khechog Jun 15, 2013 4:35 AM (in response to R_Kelly)HI, I'm using Mountain Lion. Renaming worked, for some reason the file had '.txt' appended to '.jsx' in the file name.
Many thanks for the help, it's a small issue but one that makes all the difference to my work flow.
