Adobe flash

My adobe flash player has not been working for a few day, I have uninstalled/reinstalled, still not working I have disabled my anit-virus and fire wall and still not working, I have tried all the suggested info from user support on here and still, dose not work, the site says that it is installed on my computer and that it works, but when I go onto a site that needs adobe it sayd that I need to install it, but I did MANY TIMES OVER AND OVER, uninstall/reinstall, why dose doboe NEVER WORK, WHY IS THAT
