1. Re: exported still aspect ratio is wrong?
Ann Bens Jun 15, 2013 1:22 PM (in response to Doogieman)Make a 1024x576 blanc image in Photoshop.
Drop you still into it and strecht to fill. Save.
Now you can use it anywhere.
DV has non square pixels. Stills have square pixels. Hence the distorted image.
Photoshop only corrects (pixel aspect ration corrention) the image for viewing.

3. Re: exported still aspect ratio is wrong?
Bill Hunt Jun 15, 2013 2:20 PM (in response to Ann Bens)If one alters the Pixel Aspect Ratio, and then does a Save_As PSD, the altered PAR will be what it was altered to, when opened in PrPro, or PS. Not sure about all possible viewing programs, as some cannot handle non-square pixels.
For use in a greater array of Image viewers, Ann's method will be the best workflow, as it takes the non-square pixels out of the mix.
Also, not all Image formats support non-square pixels.
