I have just compiled a CHM help file for our software but when I opened this compiled CHM help, it was trying to access the internet. (ZoneAlarm firealarm gives a warning: "Microsoft HTML Help Executable is trying to access internet.")

Does anyone know how I can compile the CHM file that won't access the internet?

Hi Michi_T and welcome to our community

Are you using any of the following features in your help?

* Browse Sequences
* Glossary Tab
* WebSearch

If so, you need to be sure to ship the additional HHActiveX.DLL file. Additionally, each of your users will need to install and register it on their PC.

Hopefully this helps... Rick

I guess I was setting Browse Sequence feature on when I compiled a CHM file.

Thank you for your help, Rick!
