Cavemandude Jun 18, 2013 2:14 AM (in response to Ann Bens)That's what I did, I meant to say "opened" the project and then the requester popped up to save it under another name.

Cavemandude Jun 18, 2013 2:47 AM (in response to Cavemandude)I think I may have found the problem. Where are the Premiere CS6 Effects Presets (.prf) files saved? I saved some custom presets but can't find the folder to import them into Premiere CC.

Ann Bens Jun 18, 2013 2:54 AM (in response to Cavemandude)Right click on the word Presets in the Effects Palet.
First you need to export them from CS6 to the HDD.

Cavemandude Jun 18, 2013 3:09 AM (in response to Ann Bens)I found the .prfpset file for CS6 and imported that when in Premiere CC using the "import presets" menu and it worked. Here is the location:
C:\Users\.........\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Premiere Pro\6.0\Effect Presets and Custom Items.prfpset

6. Re: Filters lost when importing Premiere CS6 project into Premiere CC
Ann Bens Jun 18, 2013 3:13 AM (in response to Cavemandude)You need to export them anyway.
If you ever have a windows crash and need to reinstall all presets are gone.
As also when firing Premiere up with holding down Alt+Shift.

Cavemandude Jun 18, 2013 3:19 AM (in response to Ann Bens)Ya, that wouldn't be good. Went ahead and exported my custom presets to a secure location.
