1. Re: Adobe, please provide a users guide to transfer CS6 cloud to CC settings...
David__B Jun 18, 2013 4:09 PM (in response to SplineTimeLine)Hi Kevin,
Some of the apps ask if you would like to import settings from the previous version on first launch, I know Photoshop does this for example. One of the new features for Creative Cloud is backing up your Application settings to the cloud in order to be able to transfer them to other computers running the same products.

CameraAnn Jun 18, 2013 4:50 PM (in response to Manish-Sharma)Sharing KBSCs between CS6 and CC is vital: it takes far too long if you have to recreate all of a large collection of customized shortcutss manually.
Also Actions, Brushes, Styles etc as well.
Bridge could have been used to do this but Adobe never seems to be prepared to spend the cash needed to make Bridge into the really powerful Glue that could hold the whole amorphous Cloud together.

David__B Jun 23, 2013 2:29 PM (in response to SplineTimeLine)Hi Kevin,
I noticed the referenced document in the blog post from Manish, http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/preset-migration-photoshop-cc.html
I'm not sure about the location specifics for AE or Ppro, you might want to ask in the product specific forums.

SplineTimeLine Jun 19, 2013 2:36 PM (in response to David__B)Thanks. I was mainly looking for a unified document from Adobe, since the software doesn't assist in migration to any real degree.

VincentKlijn Jun 22, 2013 2:30 AM (in response to David__B)Well, it would have been sensible if Adobe would have thought of all this.
First of all, it presents the upgrade from CS6 to CC as an UPDATE!! I did not know it would install the programs next to each other until I "updated" the first one.
Second, even when PS asks if you want to migrate settings, it does a lousy job to begin with. Some are transfered, others are not.
Thirdly, when I "update" ID, nothing is asked and it is a true hassle to try to set everything up again. It is far too difficult to find Menu Settings, Keyboard SKs, both in the old version and in the new. There is hardly any information on this and Adobe hides behind a large wall of not being home.
It has come to a point that I am wondering where I can send a bill to!! Why do I need to invest hours because Adobe feels the need to update my software that I "rent" through a subscription. They should have done a far better job at this.
I am a long time user, but this is totally unacceptable. Adobe dumps loads of work on me, the paying customer, for doing its job in upgrading to a new version.
Rant over!
