X5 hangs on Import File command

I work in X5, creating Webhelp output. Out of the blue, the application started locking up when I tried to import an HTML file. I tried all the usual things -- rebooting, using different help systems, creating a help system from scratch, but the result was always the same. The Import wizard will not appear, though the application thinks it does and refuses to let me do anything else. I am forced to use Task Manager and force the application to shut down. Does anyone have a cause and/or solution?

Are your IT folks pushing new anti-virus or pseudo-network software products onto your systems? That's what it sounds like.

Good luck,
