1. Re: CS6 gone from Creative Cloud, i need it
Ben Forta Jun 19, 2013 7:45 AM (in response to TC-JD)Yeah, we buried them a bit, sorry. But, go to the specific product pages in Creative Cloud (like this Photoshop page or this Illustrator page), and you'll see a drop down select box (right below the big image) where you can change from CC version to CS6 version. Then you'll be able to download the CS6 version.

It's nice to see someone actually admit this "tactic" used by Adobe to make everything else besides the CC so obscure and hard to find.

4. Re: CS6 gone from Creative Cloud, i need it
TC-JD Jun 19, 2013 9:04 AM (in response to Ben Forta)If i download this way it uses the application manger and starts to install straight after the download.... i dont want it to do this.
I want to be able to download the applications so i can create a 'package' to install onto the machine/users that will be using cloud.... i dont want to be doing 40-odd downloads.

Sumit Singh Jun 19, 2013 9:23 AM (in response to TC-JD)They can still have CS6 application as a part of their download.
on download page www.creative.adobe.com they need to select CS6 application from drop down.
For information on how to install the CS6 version of the software please see Download previous versions of Adobe Creative applications -http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/download-previous-versions-cr eative-applications.html

Brntoki Jun 19, 2013 6:18 PM (in response to Sumit Singh)Is it just me, or is there a deliberate blurring of lines here?
It sounds like you're saying that CS6 products can be downloaded and installed from within a cloud subscription only. Now, perhaps that is what the OP wants, I'm not 100% sure (though it didn't sound like it at first --- he may be under the impression that it's the only way to actually dl cs6).
Either way, I suggest you be very, very, clear or you are going to end up dealing with extremely pissed off customers. If I were looking for CS6 and staff suggested, or carelessly made it seem, that I could only get it by first getting a CC subscription, I would make it my life mission to destroy Adobe (Yeah, that's exaggeration, but I was already being wildly hypothetical anyway --- there isn't a snowball's chance in hell I'd ever pony up for anything with Adobe printed on it).

10. Re: CS6 gone from Creative Cloud, i need it
Brntoki Jun 19, 2013 6:28 PM (in response to TC-JD)Your initial question isn't very clear. Do you WANT the Creative Cloud? You do not have to get CC to get CS6! You can get CS6 from within the cloud, or separate from it. Don't think you have to get CS6 from a Cloud subscription.

11. Re: CS6 gone from Creative Cloud, i need it
TC-JD Jun 20, 2013 1:05 AM (in response to Brntoki)Sorry, i knew i'd end up causing confusion (i always do)
What i want is......
to create an install package using the 'Creative Cloud Packager' that i can roll out to my users. They need to have CS6 applications however there is only the option to download CC applications (which i dont want). Is there anywhere/way i can download several CS6 applications ONCE then use cloud accounts to activate them
I hope this clears it up a little.

12. Re: CS6 gone from Creative Cloud, i need it
Brntoki Jun 20, 2013 4:28 AM (in response to TC-JD)OK. I felt like you just wanted CS6 apps but thought that you could only get them from the "Cloud". If there are other things/reasons you need/want CC, then I see your point and how you're trying to save yourself a headache. I just want you and anyone else to be clear that it isn't necessary to order CC to access CS6 apps.
Otherwise, from what I've read around here on the threads, it seems like what you want isn't going to be doable. From what it sounds like, Adobe has really screwed up their implementation of downloads. I guess they have an abundance of bandwidth to waste.
Hope you find a solution though. Man, it sounds like a real big hassle.

13. Re: CS6 gone from Creative Cloud, i need it
TC-JD Jun 20, 2013 4:46 AM (in response to Brntoki)this is what i feared.
ADOBE not everyone wants the latest version of Creative Suite (or CC as its now known), having the option of 'old' ones to download on the 'Creative Cloud Packager' would be nice.
oh well, looks like i need to start 44 downloads of CS6!

14. Re: CS6 gone from Creative Cloud, i need it
Jon Jordan Sep 6, 2013 3:32 AM (in response to Sumit Singh)Hi guys,
Can you clarify something for me. I've just purchased the full CC subscription, with access to all the CC Apps. As you've stated, the option is there to also download the CS6 versions of the Apps. Can I install and use the CS6 versions, and the CC version of the Apps at the same time?
Thanks for any feedback.

15. Re: CS6 gone from Creative Cloud, i need it
TC-JD Sep 6, 2013 5:30 AM (in response to Jon Jordan)Hi Jon
I have asked around a few people at my work and some DO have both CC and CS6 installed and both work ok.
However, i appears that both CC and CS6 versions of the same App (tested it on Dreamweaver) can be run at exactly the same time, you have to switch between the two.
Hope this helps

Jon Jordan Sep 6, 2013 5:33 AM (in response to TC-JD)Thanks TC-JD,
That answers my question perfectly. Strange how Adobe don't mention this or make it clear. All it would take is a paragraph of text and everyone would know what their options are.
