Please help! It keeps saying "upload of flashplayer successful" but it doesn't work!

Hi! Hoping I can get some help! I want to upload pictures to facebook, shutterfly and also look at other things requiring Flash Player. I do what I am told and upload it. It then says, "upload successfful." When I go back to attempt to load pics, ect...it says, "flash player required." So confused and frustrated, as I thought I did upload it!
