1. Re: Multicam: sync angles with multiple clips.
Kevin-Monahan Jun 21, 2013 1:32 PM (in response to Sasha_Baych)Hi Sasha_Baych,
Check out this help article: http://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/create-multi-camera-source-sequence.html
You can place all the angles into on bin, and then select the bin.
Right-click (Windows), or Ctrl-click (Mac OS) and choose > Create Multicamera Source Sequence
In the Create Multicamera Source Sequence dialog box, click "Audio."
You are now set up with angles synched by audio, similar to the way you'd expect with PluralEyes.
Will that work for you? Let us know.
Thanks,
Kevin

2. Re: Multicam: sync angles with multiple clips.
Sasha_Baych Jun 23, 2013 7:57 AM (in response to Kevin-Monahan)Thank you for the reply.
I have watched about a dozen tutorials and read the user manual before posting to the forums.
The problem is that I do not understand is the following: in the situation when I have multiple video and audio angles with multiple clips in each of them (all in the same format and often overlapping) how Premiere undestands which clip belongs to which angle. Otherwize, how can I let Premiere know which clips belong to which angle. Because at the moment, what I get I way much more angles than I actually have in addition to the fact that all clips are messed up.
Thanks again.

That's probably the issue. With Premiere Pro multicam, standard practice is to have one continuous shot per camera. Using that shooting method, the auto-features would probably work much better. For a project of your complexity, you're probably better off creating the multicam sequence manually.

4. Re: Multicam: sync angles with multiple clips.
Sasha_Baych Jun 24, 2013 11:37 PM (in response to JSS1138)Well, this only makes Premiere extremely ineffcient for a rather common case of multicam DSLR workflow.
Hope they will come up with more effecient batching and sync solution, or any way to assign camera angles to clips before syncronization similarly to PluralEyes 3 and FCPX. Or for that matter a simple ability to sync bins instead of clips.
Unfortunately for now Premiere is not a solution for me. Sad that I can't make my movie in Premiere, since I am quiet inspired about the software. It didn't live up to the expectations.
Anyway, thatks for the reply and help.

MonkeyEatsMonkey Jul 26, 2014 6:24 PM (in response to Sasha_Baych)Is there any plan from Adobe to address this?
FCPX totally has this right. They even allow you to re-sync within a sequence if things get out-of-whack. With Premiere's automatic audio-based syncing already being pretty decent, it would be really nice to have the ability to assign multiple clips to a single camera.
I know, I know.... This needs to be submitted as a "feature request". Here's the link for anyone that wants to help the cause: Adobe - Feature Request/Bug Report Form
