My shockwave flash 11.7 keeps crashing.

My shockwave flash 11.7 keeps crashing. On the internet it says the fix is to go to version 10.3, but adobe blocks me from being able to download an earlier version, Can someone help me with this?

after the uninstall procedure completes, you can download and install the older version.

after many hours of trying, 11.7.700.169 is fairly stable on my video cards, but I'm not about to try updating it since there are many problems reported.
