1. Re: Photoshop CC?
D.A.R Jun 25, 2013 4:46 PM (in response to Hipsta_Please)It is indeed an upgrade... with a twist.
Photoshop CC is part of Adobes Creative Cloud offering. The Creative Cloud is a subscription based program where one can access all the Adobe applications for a monthly fee. However Photoshop CC is also available via subscription all by itself, for a much lower fee.
There is no longer a distinction between Standard and Extended Photoshop, just consider it Extended.
Photoshop CC is not available on disc.
The subscription can be purchased on a month to month basis which can be cancelled at any point, or by an annual agreement (still paying month to month) at a lower rate. At this time, once you end the subscription you no longer have access to the application.
The applications are downloaded and installed to your computer just like any other software and continual updates are vailable immediately via the Creative Cloud application. They do not run in a browser (a common misconception).
In addition to the applications you will get 20GB of online storage, typefaces, a Behance Portfolio site.
For pricing details, which depend on what you currently own go here. Until July 31 you can get Photoshop CC for as little as $10/month.
hope that helps
