1. Re: how to activate sketch in filter gallery?
Trevor.Dennis Jun 28, 2013 4:33 PM (in response to Hipsta_Please)Which version of Photoshop? What sort of image file are you working on? What does it say if you go Menus > Image > Mode? If it is in 32bit for instance, then a lot of your filters won't work.
Have you tried opening an RGB photograph and looking for your filters? If you are using Photoshop CC, look in Preferences > Plugins, and make sure 'Show all filter gallery goups and names' is checked.

Trevor.Dennis Jun 28, 2013 5:18 PM (in response to Hipsta_Please)Those filters should all work in an 8 bit RGB image, so probably time to try deleting the Preferences file, which usually fixes things when Photoshop gets its knickers in a twist. Close Photoshop, and hold down Shift Ctrl Alt keys when you restart Photoshop.

Hipsta_Please Jun 28, 2013 6:59 PM (in response to Trevor.Dennis)It works now! Thank you so much. Do you know how to have the halftone pattern so its not black and white? Before it "got its knickers in a twist" it was able to have the pattern and have the picture in color still.

Trevor.Dennis Jun 28, 2013 9:31 PM (in response to Hipsta_Please)Are you sure you did this directly with Halftone? I don't know how to do it directly, but if you copy the background layer, and apply Halftone to the new layer, and change its blend mode to multiply, that will do it.
