canonical tag implementation issue

Hi,

I have a website with content duplication issue. i want to use rel="canonical" tag to remove the duplication issue, but my website uses master template. How can implement the rel="canonical" tag. please provide me any suggestions

Hi Chris,

You need to separate templates so that the inclusion of the canonical tag only affects the pages in question. An easy fix for a site-wide template use is to just duplicate it, and assign the one with the canonical info to the targeted page(s). Make sure you use absolute links.
