Continue to get "please download flash player" eventhough it is downloaded onto my computer

I have a mac os 10.8.4 and it says I have flash player plug in 11.7.700.225. However whenever a internet site requires flash player it tells me to download it. I am highly annoyed because none of the adobe internet links/instructions are helping. Is there any way of speaking to an actual person from adobe??

Check if the Shockwave Flash plugin is enabled in your browser.
