1. Re: why is my raw image cropped when I reopen it?
Curt Y Jul 7, 2013 2:09 PM (in response to rflexible)Depends on how you saved it. PS does not automatically crop.

rflexible Jul 7, 2013 2:35 PM (in response to Curt Y)Thanks. I did not save as. I just closed while the raw image was open after editing.

3. Re: why is my raw image cropped when I reopen it?
Trevor.Dennis Jul 7, 2013 2:41 PM (in response to rflexible)Do you mean it opens with missing pixels, or with the crop tool active, and not covering the entire image area? If the latter, then that would happen if the crop tool was selected before the image was opened, and the crop toll was set to a different aspect ratio to your image.

5. Re: why is my raw image cropped when I reopen it?
Trevor.Dennis Jul 7, 2013 3:02 PM (in response to rflexible)When you edit a RAW file, any changes you made are stored in a Sidecar file with the same file name, but with a .xmp extension. If you find and delete that sidecar file, then the RAW file will open uncropped. But, you only have to select the Crop tool in ACR, and the crop window with handles will appear, so you can change the crop. Or having sellected the crop tool in ACR, the escape key wil cause your image to revert to full size.
