Great question. I am trying to do the same. Any luck?
After switching my chromebook to developer mode so that I could use shell commands and have full access to the file system, it was pretty easy to figure out where to put the .telemetry.cfg file. Only problem is once this file is in place and includes the line where I set the telemetry IP address, the Flash plugin will not load in the Chrome browser. Having the file there without that line allows the plugin to load, but of course it doesn't send any telemetry data anywhere. Does anyone have an idea what log file to check so I could see why the plugin doesn't load?
We don't support Chromebook as a target for Scout. Google make their own builds of Flash Player for ChromeOS, and it's down to them whether or not they enable support for Telemetry.
If you can get it to work then that's great. Otherwise, you'll have to ask Google, I'm afraid.
