1. Re: Premiere Pro CC - can I waveform sync with *multiple* camera and audio clips a la Pluraleyes?
strypesinpost Jul 9, 2013 11:41 AM (in response to bubbadoonyc)Hi bubbadoonyc,
You can in a way, but it is a feature by another name. You can create Multicamera sequences which will sync clips by audio. You can choose to sync selected clips, or selected bins which will sync all clips within bins. What you get are Multicamera sequences, but you can edit with that just like you do normal clips.

Todd_Reeder Jul 9, 2013 11:44 AM (in response to bubbadoonyc)Currently, the best way to do this is by selecting all the clips in the project panel, right click on them and select Create multi camera source sequence. Sync via audio, choose your audio sequence settings (if you want audio from both clips, select all cameras) then hit ok. Multicamera is smart enough to do this batch process and make multiple MC Sequences with only the clips that match each other. Unfortunatly merged clips or timeline sync will only do one at a time. If you wish to have this behavior in merged clip and/or timeline sync, please file a feature request: https://www.adobe.com/go/wish

JSS1138 Jul 9, 2013 3:37 PM (in response to bubbadoonyc)There seems to be a bug where the feature will only work with video clips. If you try and sync using a stand alone audio file, it doesn't work.

4. Re: Premiere Pro CC - can I waveform sync with *multiple* camera and audio clips a la Pluraleyes?
Todd_Reeder Jul 9, 2013 4:58 PM (in response to JSS1138)Multicam does require at least one video clip to work. Are you saying that you are trying to create a multicam with a mix of AV and audio only clips and it is not working, or just audio only clips?

strypesinpost Jul 9, 2013 5:40 PM (in response to JSS1138)If you are talking about an AV clip (somehow this sounds like porn) and an audio only clip, that works on my end. At least it did last time I tried it. Do you have a specific instance where it doesn't work?

bubbadoonyc Jul 9, 2013 7:06 PM (in response to Todd_Reeder)Thanks Todd.
I think this will work, but it's not ideal. I like having tracks stacked on top of each other of individual clips to match back to separate bins. I also like being able to see each track and its thumbnail. I'm just not a fan of editing with multicam and prefer to do multi-camera edits in the timeline.
