I have tried repeatedly to install the Adobe Flash Player onto my Mac OS X system. It goes through the entire process as described on line, but it only installs the Flash Player Installer as a device. It is a never ending cycle of instillation. The program never shows up as an application. Therefore there is never a Flash Player to be recognized when I try to open something that requires the Flash player. How do I fix it?

The "device" is a disk image (DMG). It's a "virtual" disk that behaves like a CD-ROM. It should appear as a removable disk on your desktop, like a Flash Drive. If you double click it, you should see the installer, a red "box" with the Flash Player icon on the front side. Double click that and it wil install.
