having an issue with flashplayer install

I'm trying to install the new flashplayer today. I have windows 7 home edition with the firefox version 22. I run the download just like I'm suppose to (even close the browser out) and when it finishes it takes me to the page that says the install was successful, but when I go to other pages, I'm being told that the plug in is missing, when I check the plugins for the browser it's not showing. Any ideas?  thanks

There are 2 different version of Flash Player - one for IE and one for the rest of us who aren't "slaves to Microsoft"
But then, if you downloaded it with Firefox, you already know that.

Have you also downloaded Shockwave?
