I'm using PowerPoint 2007.pptx format and Adobe Presenter 8. I have inserted a hyperlink on the last slide. When I publish the presentation the hyperlink doesn't work and I get an error message that says: Adobe Flash Player has stopped a potentially unsafe operation. The following local applications on your computer or network: file path is trying to communicate with the Internet-enabled location: location name. To let this application communicate with the Internet, click Settings. You must restart the application after changing your settings.
When I click on Settings, they are set according to my company's requirements. Can anyone help?

You must be playing the presentation locally. This is a Flash security warning, and should show up. It is indicating that a Flash object on your local computer is attempting to access something off the Internet, and it has stopped it. You can change your Flash player settings to allow local object to access the Internet, or you can push the presentation to a server (Connect or any other web server), and access it over the web. You will not see that warning when clicking the link at the end of your presentation if it is delivered from a server.

Hi,
In order to change your Flash player settings to allow local object to access the Internet, please do the followings :-
Go to this link -> http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager04.html
If this link doesn't work for your browser, then search in google "flash security settings" and follow the micromedia link.
Do the changes as depicted in below screenshot:-

In normal scenario, the hyperlinks should work fine after setting the flash security settings. It may be setup related issue, where other programs like Anti-virus are interrupting the normal execution.
Please create an identical sample project where the issue is reproducible and send it to vikrakum@adobe.com along with the screenshot of the error message.
Thanks,
Vikram

Hi Vikram,
I found the problem – there was a JAVA update that I did not have on my system – it interacts with Adobe Flash – once I downloaded that the hyperlink worked.
Thank you so much for all your help. I really appreciate it!
Have a wonderful weekend!
