You can go to Adobe's Website http://www.adobe.com/products/coldfusion-family.html?promoid=DJDQZ

Depending upon your requirement, you can click on buy either Standard or Enterprise and then you will get other options.

So, yes you can upgrade from ColdFusion 8 to ColdFusion 10 (Standard/Enterprise) and you will get a serial number/license key once you purchase ColdFusion 10.
