I'm using Win 7 and after download of player and installation begins, I am told I haven't sufficient privileges. I have admin priveleges on this machine, and a password. I read that regardless of my permissions I can right click on the file and click "run as administrator' but this doesn't work either. HELP !!!! Ralph Trondle

Use the offline installer http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/installation-problems-flash-player-windows.html#main-pars_hea... and do the 'Run as Administrator'.
If you still get a problem, give use the exact message you're getting (or a screenshot of it).

After I contacted the forum, I left the PC and when I came back the next day, the flash player was working. I can't explain it. Although I had admin privileges on my machine every attempt to run the downloaded player file resulted in - installation failed because "user does not have sufficient privileges to install Flash player". I'm really confused.
