installation of Adobe flash player

I have successfully installed Adobe Flash 11.8.800.94 based on testing thru your site and via my computer. However, anytime I try to down load a video, I receive the notice that that video requires Adobe Flash - and does not recognize my latest installation.

Internet Explore is the default browser. The Adobe flash is identified in my programs as being successfully downloaded, but when I try to download a video, I am informed I need to download the Adobe Flash again.

Do you see a Flash bouncing icon here : http://www.adobe.com/software/flash/about/

I have the same issue as franklinben.  Windows 7, IE, supposedly installed Player ver 11, received message that it was successful and that I "am now running Flash Player" but it cannot be found nor will content requiring it run.  HELP!
