Flash player not working after several reinstallations and uninstallation...

my flash player randomly stopped working yesterday i have tried continously to fix it by reinstalling it and uninstalling restartin the computer and re installing it and no matter how many times i do it and it successfully completes as soon as i go to watch a video it says i need to download adobe flash player! also adobe flash player does not show up in my add ons on firefox. it will however work on google chrome.

Please help me thank you.

i have a 62 bit, acer aspire 5517 laptop, using mozilla firefox, windows 7
