It does not work even though it says it has been successfuly installed. How do you deal with that

I have been receiving e cards fro Jacque Lawson and now they tell me that I must have Adobe Flash player the latest version My control panel shows that the 11.8 is installed as well as the active X 11.8 the flash player does not show when I look for the programs.  Nor is there an Icon showing on the tool bar or whatever you call it that shows the various programs and locations when I have tried to read the card I get a message that you must have adobe flash player.  What is the remedy for this ?
