Flash player won't install because it thinks Safari hasn't quite

I've tried several times to install the new Flash player. For some reason the installer (and I've redownloaded it twice) doesn't think I've quite Safari, when I have. I've tried rebooting, quiting Safari before ever trying the installer, installing BEFORE I even open Safari on a fresh reboot.

The installer seems to have a bug in it's ear that I'm using Safari when I'm not.

Grrumbles.....

Any help appreciated  ^^

Ah! That was a great tip.

It turned out the Gmail Tab link was still open and that extension running was causing Safari to stay active.

Thanks so much!!!
