I have a photo of an ornamental book on a background.
Selected the background only and copied it to a new layer.
Did some experimenting and got a few I liked.
Wanted to apply lighting to an edited layer of the original photo with one of the new backgrounds over it.
Made all the other layers invisible and clicked ALT+ Merge Visible (in order to save the original two layers in addition to making a merged layer of both).
This gave me the picture I want, but when I saved it as a tiff, the image icon and the preview images in Windows Explorer show a white space where the book should be (ie they show only the background-selection layer)! They open fine with the full picture. But I also get the white space in the center when I import them into CorelDraw. The same thing happens with the psd file icons and preview images. But the psd file does show it all when imported into CorelDraw.
How can I get the full pic in my image icons and image previews? And why is this happening?
Thanks for any advice!
Janet
