Hi,

I need a little help.

I downloaded an update for Adobe reader, and it automatically installed google chrome, (I’m not a fan of google- I couldn’t find how to not install it). It then set chrome as default browser. As soon as I realised, I un-installed chrome and all its registry stuff. I don’t want to use chrome I’m happy with Avant.

However, now when I click on a web link in a file, I get an error message ‘general failure www.etc.etc blah application not found; I’m assuming chrome hijacked my system to use chrome as default browser. I’m assuming it’s looking for chrome, aye keep looking pal! How can I set my system to see I want to use Avant to open these links?

Hope you can help.

regards

roy

Download the Adobe Flash Player installer directly by clicking one of the following links.

Flash Player for ActiveX (Internet Explorer)

Flash Player Plug-in (All other browsers)

Thiose DON'T come with the bundled software. Bookmark them for future reference.

See:http://browsers.about.com/od/faq/tp/Setting-The-Default-Browser.htm  to reset your default browser after uninstalling Chrome.

BTW, I'm no fan of Chrome myself.
