JaysonM-Y Jul 23, 2013 9:52 PM (in response to computerma1)Been hearing way too many crash stories with CC... reminds me of CS4 days...
What's the type of media you're trying to edit and where did it come from? -

computerma1 Jul 23, 2013 9:54 PM (in response to JaysonM-Y)They are AVI video files and Wave sound files. The AVI files comes with the 2 sounds files in it from Dxtory and I extract the audio into 2 different audio files (1 windows audio 2 my voice).

JaysonM-Y Jul 23, 2013 10:15 PM (in response to computerma1)Try using another video file like this sample from blueskyfootage.com
http://www.blueskyfootage.com/Video_Formats/40-042731-H264hdFormatSample.mov
Cut and export that see if you have any trouble... -

Mark Mapes Jul 24, 2013 12:47 AM (in response to JaysonM-Y)If Mercury Playback Engine is set to GPU Acceleration, please try turning it off: File>Project Settings>General.

computerma1 Jul 24, 2013 10:18 AM (in response to Mark Mapes)Mark: It has been set to that all this time.
Jayson: I downloaded that video file and put it in Adobe Premiere CC. I kept putting in the timeline until I got to the 3 minute mark. I started previewing and it did not crash! So I then tired rendering it and again it did not crash!
So my next question to all of you is how can I make CC work with AVI?

joshweiland Jul 24, 2013 11:15 AM (in response to computerma1)AVI is a container format. So your video files could be encoded in who-knows-what format.
My recommendation would be to convert them to another format before bringing them into Premiere. You can try using the Adobe Media Encoder, or perhaps something like Handbrake.

computerma1 Jul 24, 2013 12:01 PM (in response to joshweiland)I did forget to mention in the post that the first time I used CC it worked just fine. Same file type, same rendering settings. I was able to make a a whole 4 min video but now nothing.

computerma1 Jul 24, 2013 12:07 PM (in response to joshweiland)Yes but later that day was when I tired making another video and that was when the problem began. I have done a recovery to when it was working but that did not help.

JaysonM-Y Jul 28, 2013 9:25 PM (in response to computerma1)Great. Lagarith is a great codec but it's about 30gb per hour I think... but I don't think it takes that long for a match. You're doing a game montage am I right?
