Thanks to all for your help, but after hours of searching and dead-ends I did find a solution somewhere in Adobe Help. It is this -

Open Internet Explorer

Click on the Tools icon

Click Manage add-ons

Choose Toolbars and Extensions

Click Adobe Systems Incorporated

and enable Shockwave Flash Object.

Bingo!
