1. Re: Markers not showing up Dynamic Lync from Premiere
joshweiland Jul 24, 2013 12:04 PM (in response to Lone Lobo)I'm assuming you created sequence markers in Premiere. It's the default marker type.
Since you're replacing a clip with an AE comp, you need to create clip markers in Premiere instead. The clip markers will then appear in AE.
The easiest way to do this is to create a keyboard shortcut (directions), then go to each existing sequence marker, select the clip, then press the keyboard shortcut. When you're done, you can delete all of the sequence markers if you wish.

Lone Lobo Jul 24, 2013 12:07 PM (in response to joshweiland)Well, that's the way I created the timeline markers (in Premiere). Do timeline markers not translate?

joshweiland Jul 24, 2013 12:31 PM (in response to Lone Lobo)Correct, sequence/timeline markers in Premiere don't transfer over into After Effects.
When you use the "Replace with AE comp" command, you are replacing the clips themselves. Since the sequence markers are relative to the sequence, not the clips, AE does not see them.
AE does see clip markers, since they are relative to the clip you send.

Szalam Jul 24, 2013 1:11 PM (in response to Lone Lobo)If you go in After Effects to File>Import>Adobe Premiere Pro Project and import your Premiere Project, you will get the markers as you expect. This is because it brings the whole project in as a composition, so it'll have the composition markers.

Fuzzy Barsik Jul 24, 2013 1:40 PM (in response to Lone Lobo)Another workaround is to nest your sequence with sequence markers - sequence markers will be shown as clips markers for the nested sequence within a master sequence. Then replace this nested sequence with a dynamically linked AE composition, within a master comp double click the precomp layer, which represents your nested sequence, - you'll see all your PrPro sequence markers as comp markers within that precomp.
