flash player installation

downloaded latest flash player from adobe.proceeded with installation.this starts with downloading but it stops evertime at 47% with an error which is listed as lauchfail.now i have lost the remaining 3 strands of hair out of my head,trying to resolve this problem.can anyone help? O/S windows 7 64 bit Internet explorer

thanks for your response.i have tried this and it installs ok but it is not the latest version.some programs require the latest version.
