PROBLEMS WITH INSTALLING FLASH PLAYER ON MAC AIR

Hi,

is there anybody who can help. Downloaded flash player. got User name and password. went to INSTALL (

file://localhost/Users/user/Downloads/install_flash_player_11_osx.dmg) ... followed ..gave in my user name and passwort ....got rejected ?? Do I need another Password ?

The username and password it's asking for ARE NOT your Adobe username and password, but your Mac OS username and password.

SAME ...even with my MAC OS username and password doesn t work ???

If you receive a "bad username or password" message while installing, it's because your OS username or password is incorrectly entered. There's nothing we can do about that here.

You can try resetting your Password in your System Preferences.

Can t be wrong because I frequently use the mac ID and password for

downloading .... I don t get a message when typing in user name and

password ... just doesnt get through ....what else could I do ?

Then you just have to mount the DMG and run it.

Then that's definitely your OS password... Have you tried removing the P/W from your user account?  I know Apple doesn't recommend it, but if it's a temporary fix, it's worth a try.

how to find out about the OS password .... I have the apple ID name and

password ...the adobe one ....

I DON T have a password to LOG IN into my computer ...I just open it and

thats it ..... WHAT TO DO ?

SET one in your System Preferences>User Accounts (Users&Groups). When prompted for it during the install, enter it.
