I bought a new Nook Simple Touch ereader. I downloaded an ebook into my laptop from my library. I tried to register the laptop under my login in Adobe Digital Editions so I can transfer the book to the Nook, but it refuses to let me. It says I have to have an account, but refuses to accept my account login. It tells me I do not have the right to load the book from the computer into the Nook. Free open source books I downloaded from the library didn't not show up at all in the digital editions screen at all. The Nook is great but I need to be able to access my local library for all it's free loans. Help

For free open source books, I suggest you use the vastly superior Calibre rather than the very poor Adobe Digital Editins (ADE).
For library books, just confirming a few thing
There are lots of bugs in ADE2.0: including refusing to work at all with some devices, and with library books on some other devices (including many Sony's; not sure about Nooks).
Try replacing ADE2.0 with the older but more reliable v1.7.2.
(You can have them both installed at once if you like.)
Version 1.7.2, it is a little difficult to find, available on Adobe site for Windows and for Mac.
