How do you know that the GPU was doing much during render? I also have a 560 and 770 and from what I see with GPU sniffer, Premiere doesn't use the GPU much during the render at all. Maybe less than 10%.
There is only one setting for hardware acceleration in PP, and it applies to both in-program preview as well as exports.
You can run a test. Add some accelerated effects to a five minute sequence. Export with GPU acceleration on, and then again with it off. See a difference?
Thanks for replying.
And yeah that's what I thought. I'll try adding some effects and seeing if it makes a difference. I made a 3 minute video that was JUSt music and one image and it took like 10 minutes where before it took maybe about 3 minutes.
I'll do a test and see for sure. If something's still up, I'll have to hop on the NVIDIA boards because that's strange.
Well I have one large project I was working on and it almost always takes just about an hour and a half to render it out. Now I do it and all of a sudden it takes 2+ hours to do. I've added nothing to the project. The only thing I changed WAS the driver.
As stated, I'll do the test that Jim suggested and see. I'll also rollback and do the render again. A shame there's no way to use the encoder to render as then I could use a queue... or is there?
Anyhow thanks. I'll post back with my results.
