Switching between Designer and HTML views clobbers content

I'm creating a page using an hhctrl (Design-Time Control). This particular one is to be a TCard:

However, If put more content after the control, and switch between Designer and HTML views, the content following the control gets removed. I had an item ( <A>...</A>) and some text. after the first switch, The <A></A> disappears, and on the second switch, all the text goes... Is there any way to stop this besides NOT using the hhctrl?
