I bet Bridge is running in the background.
Start the Task Manager (Ctrl+Alt+Delete) and kill the Bridge process from there.
Bridge is not open please Ive tried?
It's not clear to me whether you are saying that you actually launched the Task Manager (Control+Alt+Delete) and you did not see the Bridge process among the running processes…
…or whether you think you have not launched Bridge.
It's very common for users to think Bridge is not open because they fail to realize that there is a preference set by default to launch Bridge in the background automatically and transparently as soon as you boot up your machine and log in.
The error message you are getting would not be happening if Bridge were not open. At least I've never heard of the error appearing under any other circumstances.
By running the task manager, you should be able to locate the Bridge process and kill it from there.
Here is an example of the Task Manager showing Adobe InDesign running:
Launch the Windows Task Manager and look for an instance of Bridge there. If you find it, then just End the Task.
It WON'T necessarily be under the Applications tab (as the above picture shows). It WILL be under the Processes tab if it's running in the background.
Thanks I got it and re-install it... But now if I open photoshop to do photo editing I get this message (thats te reason I uninstall it the first time)
" Could not initialize Photoshop because the preferences file was invalid ( it has been deleted) "
What must I do?
