joshweiland Aug 8, 2013 7:55 AM (in response to Nikhita P.)Is your external hard drive USB3.0 or Thunderbolt? If not, it's too slow, and you should copy your media to your internal hard drive.
You can stick with the TGA files or use a lossless video, but either way the media should be on a fast hard drive (what shooternz was referring to). If you export from AE as a lossless video file, then no, there will not be any hit on quality when bringing it into Premiere.
But since you already have the TGA files, stick to using them.

Files on a local drive for whatever option you choose.
Making a digital intermediate in AEFX is a great way to do it if you have AEFXand know how to use it.Export an uncompressed file eg avi or mov. THer ewill be no loss you can determine and its a very standard industry practice.
