1. Re: Trouble exporting in premiere!
shooternz Aug 5, 2013 8:26 PM (in response to theevanpierce)Why dont you export it out of After Effects?

2. Re: Trouble exporting in premiere!
theevanpierce Aug 5, 2013 8:29 PM (in response to shooternz)I made a lot of after effects compostions and then put them into premiere with other regular video files to make a film. I wouldn't want to render it out of after effects to put it in premiere and then render it out again. I hope that makes sense.

3. Re: Trouble exporting in premiere!
shooternz Aug 5, 2013 8:32 PM (in response to theevanpierce)Make senses.. (but you could have said though).
"Offline"... Sounds like you have files on an external drive (maybe?)

4. Re: Trouble exporting in premiere!
theevanpierce Aug 5, 2013 8:36 PM (in response to shooternz)No they are all on my computers hard drive. I talked to an adobe live chat person earlier today and they told me to delete any unlinked material from my after effects comps. They said even if they arn't used in the comps, they could still cause problems. So i did and it is still having problems. Any thoughts?

5. Re: Trouble exporting in premiere!
shooternz Aug 5, 2013 8:41 PM (in response to theevanpierce)No thoughts but I generally avoid DL and make digital intermediates for use between AEFX and Premiere.
I trust them and I can manage them. Never had an issue.
This is still the clue to your issue I think.
it show in the premiere project window that the files are offline

6. Re: Trouble exporting in premiere!
theevanpierce Aug 5, 2013 8:45 PM (in response to shooternz)Yeah, I believe so too, but it only does that sometimes and they start off the exporting linked. It seems very unpredictable. Sometimes the exporting stops at 2% and sometimes it stops at 59%.

8. Re: Trouble exporting in premiere!
shooternz Aug 5, 2013 9:21 PM (in response to theevanpierce)I export the comps separately and bring them into Premiere as a clip. eg.mov., .avi.; .xxx with alpha
If I make a change in AEFX once I have DI in Premiere. I often just re export into same file name and Premiere updates.

9. Re: Trouble exporting in premiere!
theevanpierce Aug 5, 2013 9:26 PM (in response to shooternz)Alright, Ill probably start doing that. Thanks for the help. Do you think it looses any quality doing that?

10. Re: Trouble exporting in premiere!
shooternz Aug 5, 2013 9:38 PM (in response to theevanpierce)No. Its an industry practice used at every level.
Ensure you minimise high compression codecs or workflows.
What is your end purpose? What is your source?

11. Re: Trouble exporting in premiere!
theevanpierce Aug 5, 2013 9:42 PM (in response to shooternz)Whenever I try and export out of after effects, it said that after effects crashed while it was trying to open optical flares.
