RH6 and ClearCase 7

RoboHelp X5 and ClearCase are known to not play well together. In particular, if I have both ClearCase 7 and RoboHelp X5 installed on the same machine, RoboHTML will not launch.

Has this incompatibility been addressed in RoboHelp 6? Fixing this problem would give us a reason to upgrade to RH6.

Hi JWT-Micros and welcome to our community. I don't use ClearCase so can't say for sure. You're best bet would be to download the trial version of X6 and test it yourself.

Thanks, Colum! I hadn't even realised that there was a trial version of RH6 available.

That seems to fix the problem; the demo and ClearCase 7 are both working fine.

Based on my own periodic experiences with ClearCase (though not recently), the deficiencies were on the ClearCase side, not RoboHelp's.

Perhaps you should be checking the ClearCase user forum for guidance?
