Curt Y Aug 12, 2013 8:28 AM (in response to jyeager11)The way I see it if you copy something it is a copy. If it has a different name it is not a copy. You would probably need a script to do what you want.

My question had to do with whether or not we have any control I am unaware of on the default naming conventions within Photoshop (like we do when converting RAW files to PSD, for instance).
Clearly the answer is no by now, unless someone stops by and tells us otherwise.

Just tried it. Works well. Not as simple as having the option to pre-format naming conventions, but certainly a step up from what I was doing before. Thanks!
