I have a 2011 thunderbolt 17 inch macbook pro with an SSD HD and 8 gigs of ram installed. When I installed my SSD, my computer would complete a restart cycle in 20 seconds. But after I installed the CC apps my computer reboots in about 40-45 seconds now. Im sure it is the CC apps that are causing this additional boot time because I did a clean install of my OS 10.8 and did my reboot before I installed the apps and it was back to its 20 second reboot. Once I reinstalled the CC Apps it was at 40 secs again. Does anyone know why the CC apps cause this additional time to my reboot? Im just curious?
Hi AzzieScott,
No sure, but things I wondered about - how long does a restart take if you started the mac in safe boot. Does ending any Adobe processes with Activity Monitor prior to the restart make it take 20 seconds again?
